Re: Money a bit short - what could cause this?
Hi Mark, I assume you checked the mech when you emptied it to see if it had lost its backstop catch? As linda said, when this happens they usually clear it out! I would also think it pretty unlikely that another operator had opened your machine for the sake of a tenner. I have found once or twice in...

Re: Securing a tower - was nearly stolen.
In my experience it is usually one of three things: Either someone from head office has been in and said 'get rid of that', as 'it doesn't fit with our clientele'. Another operator has been in and offered them more commission or a few quid to the manager. A couple of opinionated customers have proba...

Re: Hurleys and tubz vending vending vending site finding service
I've had about 20 sites from Barbara over the last 3 months or so, and on the whole I'm quite happy with them. I have had a very large care home that does a good £70 a month, and another that I visited the other day that had done a similar amount in the first month. I also got a fish and chip shop f...

Re: Flat Rate VAT Registration
If it were me I would split my business up into two, register one in the wife's name, and have this one voluntarily registered for VAT. If you are careful you can just put anything you do each month over the VAT threshold through the second VAT registered company, and also use this one for large pur...

Re: Which machine would you put in here???
I always like getting 20p toy machines in pubs, as I always think why get £1 from a customer when you might get £1.20 or £1.40?
I think your idea for a mix of 20p and £1 toys sounds sensible to me, that way you cover all bases and all budgets.

Last lot I bought were £150 per machine, sited. I think the guy wanted £200 but ended up coming down to a more reasonable price.

Re: Hi All! Vending Software Developer Here
You would forget to charge your tablet / phone. It would die on you half way round and you would have to go home for some paper and a pen! True! I am very forgetful. But for those that use a van/car, they could just have a charger with them for such eventualities? I know a lot of peopl...

Re: Hi All! Vending Software Developer Here
Hi Carl, Not sure how other people go on with recording sales in sites, but I was thinking the other week how easy it would be on a tablet using a specially designed app. At the moment I have a little clipboard with a list of all the products I stock on a sheet, with a little box next to each one. I...

Re: Instruction manual for Darenth Style 5 / Icebreak
Rang Darenth who were very helpful, but said they would want £15 for a manual. I think it's probably because i didn't buy the machine from them, which I completely understand, but the tightfisted Yorkshireman in me wont let me spend £15 on a manual. Might have a go myself, and if I cant figure it ou...

Re: Price labels for towers?
I think they come supplied with new machines, so I would imagine the suppliers (tubz vending/hurleys) may be able to get hold of spares. If they cant help you would probably be best emailing Clenport and asking how much they would want for an envelope full. I would imagine they would be willing to p...
