Re: NEW Pound Coin
Blimey - I'm glad I never thought I had to dismantle a whole machine, just to remove the coin mech!

Re: Clenport M81 design fault
I had the same problem with the first batch of machines I bought from Hurleys over 18 months ago. The solution was as suggested above, to replace the top segment with a smaller one. But if you're then sticking a paper Childline label on the top segments of the machine, it looks rubbish and wears qui...

Re: Self packed christmas chocolates in vending towers
I did a £100 online Sainsbury's order last week, my first so £20 off at the checkout and only £1 for delivery: 30 boxes of 420g Cadbury Eclairs @ £1.50/box and 30 boxes of Toblerone Tinys @ £2 box. I thought they might call me when it came to picking the order and say 'we're not wholesalers' but it ...

Re: Valuing a business
Do yourself a favour, unless your a ltd co. run your business to the end of march, then do your tax return for year 14/15 to be submitted by Jan 16. I did a 15 month year for my first return. much easier for tax returns if you are a sole trader Hi Pete - can I pm you and maybe speak to you on the p...

Re: Tower round for sale - Watford, Herts, NW London
Good luck with the sale. I think we spoke and I'd love my sister to buy it off you but she's not interested. Its too far for me. What's the overall average monthly turnover per site?

Re: Anyone ever bought the machine in the site?
I paid (a site finder) a local car recovery business, which does ok (far from my best). Then they asked me if I'd 'sort out' the abandoned Snackacan tower at their other site. So I just took it out and put in one of my own. Similar happened at a local sawmill but in the end I took out my own tower t...

Re: Valuing a business
As a business a vending round is worth peanuts compared to the income. I havent seen rounds sell for any more than £150 per machine. i have sites that make me that much in a month! lol When you say 'make me more than that', are you saying you have sites which NET you more than £150/month? I reckon ...

Re: New to the business
Alex, its not surprising. A Bookers shopper can buy 3kg of mini eggs for around £10 or 60g from you for £1. Thats a bit of a no brainer really! lol. Well I've never bought anything from a vending tower myself so I'm constantly surprised that anyone does, so I thought I might as well give it a go. I...

Re: New to the business
Rubbish! So bad I'm embarrassed to tell you - but at the moment my lockup is so full of vendors I haven't the energy to re-site, it might as well stay there. Plus I paid a site finder for it - def not worth the money if you allow for the effort it takes to site and re-visit etc.

Hmmm… whereabouts was this 'Booker'? I've got one in a wholesaler's foyer but its not called Booker...Rikochet wrote:Funnily enough I spotted one in the foyer of my local Booker earlier when I was in picking up stock. Should've asked who it belonged to.
