Hi Does anyone operate Chuppa Chups Lolly machines. I would like to know how profitable they are.
I have a site that another operator has a Chuppa Chups and some Beavers, but the site complains to me, because he never refills them for months, despite being called. Before, I offer to help, I would like to know if it is worthwhile. The Chupa Chups sells out in a month usually.
Thanks all,
Paul

I have no idea but I think you have answered your own question if it sells out in a month!

Re: Chuppa Chups
lollys are a bit of a pain to fill, unless you can get a lolly mine in imo.

Hi , Not sure about that. At 20p per lolly- taking account of cost of new machine; cost per lolly- comission, I would like to know how much I will make and how long the machine will take to become profitable.Snackmore wrote:I have no idea but I think you have answered your own question if it sells out in a month!

Re: Chuppa Chups
I used to run three Chupa Chups machines.
Like any sweet machine, place them where there is a large foot flow of children and it should do well. I had one at a swimming pool, initially it was doing £80-£100 of sales per month, so great!
The problem is the machines get shaken by the kids and are prone to fail to vend properly.
I kept being called out because the machine was not working, to find it had been damaged.
The kids quickly catch on and start telling the site the machine did not give them their lollies the site reimburses them (whether it is genuine or not) and then ask for the money back from you!
In the case of the swimming Pool, sales gradually declined as call outs increased. I swopped the machine over, but with little improvement.
Finally the Manager got fed up and asked me to remove it.
The other machines had similar problems.
They also take ages to fill.
Finally I decided to sell up these machines.
I would recommend that you try a lolly mine, which (I believe?) are more easy to load and resistant to damage (although costly?) or leave well alone!
