Please could you tell us the best way to keep the temp down in summer etc inside a small van

WOW, thought I was bad with forward planning!
Never to early to get things done though.
Your van should be ply lined - this worked a treat for me and, do not carry so much stock with you that is likely to spoil, certain items I do not use in the really hot months.

If you have your van racked out put chocs on bottom shelf.

All of the above.
Avoid the soft chocolate for a few months, eg, Toblerone and Rolos, as these melt very quickly.
Only take out the stock required for your day's servicing.

Stack chocs floor level in a white van. Never had any problems over the years.
