Hi again
Next question, I have had a few 20p in the coin box when I have been going round refilling, but until today they were a bonus, i.e. the number of pound coins matched the number of tubs vended, however today on one machine there were 14 tubs sold but only 12 £1 coins and three 20p pieces. The mech is an old chinese one thats been modified to accept the new pound coin.
Has anyone else experienced this and any suggestions as to how to fix the problem.
I did try a 20p in the mech but it just jammed up and I had to take the mech off to clear it so not certain how these 20p got in there and how they seem to have managed to get 2 vends out with them
Thanks in advance

Hi,
Yeah, I get loads of different denominations. You have to remember that unscrupulous people also read the posts so I tend not to say what works or doesn't work, with the exception to the 248 tokens I have just logged as loses for the accountant. And yes I do have the offending items should they wish to see the evidence however, this is three years worth as I kept forgetting to add them on my balance sheets.
I think this gives an idea for a new post!

Re: 20p in £1 towers
Dont know if I would rate it as the best or worst con to get a £1 tub out of a charity tower, but not long after the new £1 came out I found a very roughly filed piece of steel in the cash box, best of all they had taken the trouble to file the corners off like the new £1. Must of taken them ages to do, even on basic wage they probably spent more than £1 worth of time making it.
Needless to say it was a garage MOT centre. . . . . .

The coin mechs should have a run-through system, ie anything that is smaller than the £1 coin will run through into your coin box and any larger coin would not be able to be vended through. With the coin mech that has been upgraded, have you tested it to make sure the smaller coins run through quickly?
