I know its been mentioned before but thought should bring it up again as getting closer, olympia in london theres two exhibitions on tues 24th jan until thurs 26th jan.
ICE totally gaming & EAG international both are free if you prebook online.
I know a few were planning to go? what are we saying aout a few drinks? I can only make the 26th (thurs) now as I forgot a previous engagement but shall be stopping the night and hopefully tasting some of londons finest.
Anyone up for a meet? Noel can you make it on the Thursday?

Do you guys go to this every year to potentially add something new to your business and/or invest in something new setting up a new business?
Is it different every year?
trying to evaluate whether there is any value in me going as it will be a huge effort for me to attend as I am massively busy
Cheers

Ive never been before but am interested in the amusement side as I operate a small arcade. Mainly going to meet up with Noel and anyone else who wants to for a drink.
I dont know how much is there to do with vending? but Im led to believe there are a few, probaly same that exhibit at some of the other shows. Is Ian crane doctor exhibiting?

Good to meet suppliers, some offer show deals. Bit of an excuse for a jolly if I'm honest but biggest plus is meeting other operators this year.

It's good to go and see how the industry is progressing. It's always a good indicator to see if anything new is out or how much new stuff is being introduced. That way you can see if you are keeping up with changes. There's nearly always new stuff at it and in a lot of cases it's the only chance you get to see some suppliers face to face each year. LIW in September is the same.If you bring some dosh , you can get some good deals on the last day of the show as exhibitors try to sell their stuff off cheap rather than load it all back into lorries and take it back to their base.
AND as Gavin says it's always good for a jolly and to meet other operators.

Hi All,
We'll be at EAG, stand 803. All the the main European/some Chinese amusement suppliers will be there, but with these tough times, some suppliers can't afford this show, and prefer to just wonder round. So if you know them, you can still meet them for a coffee.
We like at all shows will be presenting some new machines, all of our new products and a new kiddie ride. Our big one will be targeted mainly at shopping centres and multi machine sites, it's a different view of a multi machine concept, like all of the 3L machines where flexibility is king.
I'll be on the stand most of the time, don't forget to come round for a chat.
ICE at Olympia is mainly gaming/gambling, EAG at Excel is for vending/amusement.
