Hi
Anyone experiencing what I am with them.
I know Diane is short staffed but three emails over a month all unanswered?

So other choices for site finding. Penguin solutions or tubz vending.
On another note who should I get to babysit my kids tonight, Rolf Harris or Gary Glitter!

Style, That made me smile about Rolf harris or Gary Glitter.
Not much to smile about on the Dial marketing front though, it seems to me like the whole site finding thing with towers is just one big Scam?
I spoke to Kris at tubz vending today and he said that Diane Morgan is opening a coffee shop so things must be OK for her?
Now let me think, I wonder who helped her pay for that?
Hmm.................................. me and a good few other operators who have shown faith in what Diane was doing and been shafted in the process.
No more sites from Dial then?
What's that Diane?? .......................too busy Serving Coffee now .....................................oh right, never mind, keep all the money I paid you for sites then!
Not to worry..........................................I look forward to a nice cup of Coffee when I come down to your new shop in a few weeks.

Same experience here. I'm so relieved to find out its not just me!
I assumed she's read my rants about Penguin Solutions and decided not to get involved. Bloody unfair, I thought: one site finder shafts you and then you get a reputation for being a trouble maker, just because you've asked for your money back when they did absolutely nothing (not even rubbish sites) to earn it!
My experience of using Diane via Hurley's was quite good. I think I got all my sites, in the end. Quicker and better at providing replacements than tubz vending! So I was hopeful of a good relationship, finding sites for a local charity. No such luck. One reply then brick wall, managed by her assistant.
How come we are expected to pay for everything up front: machines, stock, sites, before we earn a penny. But site finders won't even do one without taking payment first?

Re: difficulties contacting Dial Marketing
I agree alexlg.
I don't like bad mouthing anyone, especially on the forums, but enough was enough, ignoring many emails, not returning my calls.
If she was too busy all she had to do was say so.
I was even prepared to accept a partial refund so cover all her costs even though all 5 leads turned me down, but still no reply??
I don't give to much concern to the money, I can easy go and get the sites myself in 2 or 3 days, its the principal.
She has got away with, I don't expect a refund of any kind as she probably reading this by now.
I only give ppl one chance, then I just shut them out of my life and move on.
Every cloud has a silver lining and she has probably done me a favour as I will just try harder myself now and improve my networking skills.

ultimately getting your own sites is the best way to go. you'll have higher sales averages and make more with less cash tied up in equipment and stock.

Re: difficulties contacting Dial Marketing
Definitely own site finding works best.....only you can gauge whether site is up to your standards and your unlikely to accept sites just for the sake of it.
I think the market is getting saturated though for towers......hoping for some further innovation in the sweet machine market as towers are reaching maturity.

I think I'm being a bit stupid, but how will own site finding mean you have less cash tied up in equipment and stock?part-time-operator wrote:ultimately getting your own sites is the best way to go. you'll have higher sales averages and make more with less cash tied up in equipment and stock.

Re: difficulties contacting Dial Marketing
when you are relying on others for site finding the tendency is to lower standards and accept whatever you're given because "it's better than equipment sitting at home and earning nothing", you also tend to do more mileage as other people will only get the easy sites and then claim that an area is saturated. Over time this leads to lower sales averages (and poor discipline).
When you're regularly finding sites yourself not only are you in a good habit which constantly encourages you to re-locate your poor performing machines, but you can also target sites that others give up on. E.g. writing to decision makers and following up instead of a telesales person just being told no, walking into a busy pub where no-one hears the phone ringing etc
So instead of constantly buying equipment with "anything is better than nothing" approach to earnings you can make the most out of what you've already got. Everyone has their own approach and different budgets to invest, if you've got more money you might not care about return on investment, or if you're like Mark@Yorvend you just want to leave all your machines in crappy sites to frustrate other would-be operators
