I have a sweet tower in a car showroom, not a bad site does about £40pm all in chocolate, a few charity boxes have come and gone over the years so I assume the staff just steal the free sweets from these and go back to my tower. Went in today to find a Discapa with sweets top and bottom from this lot. https://www.noahsarkhospice.org.uk/charity-podz . Fizzy mix in the top and chewy mix in the bottom. Bloody gobsmacked, remember they only buy chocaolate. The machine looks brand new so must have cost someone around £200, at best they will take £10 a month. But why would you place this sort of machine in a car showroom.

I never saw that. I would expect Perform to have more sense than that. There are sites you know will be good, sites that you know you are taking a punt on but that machine will have to be there for at least 3 years to pay for itself.

Are the sweets literally packed in 60mm capsules? Is there any branding on capsules or bb dates. Sounds a very expensive way to sell pots of sweets!

Yep in a 68mm globe. I've seen them in a few places. Motorway services and a play barn, but I can see them working in both of these sites but not a car showroom.

It does sound OTT! As vending companies want to/need to expand, they too are now turning to the category B and C sites to keep their businesses going. If you look back 20 odd years, there were no vending machines at all around apart from the larger companies and places that had high footfall, they were not interested in the lesser sites but today those lesser sites which were the bread and butter for the small vending machine are now being eroded too. I am sure this Discappa won't last long as it won't be cost effective for them. I'll give it 3 months then you will have your site back. Let us know Andy, we could start a book on this.

Trouble is Barbara,
Once you lose/or move out of a site - very difficult to get back in.
