I reckon they'll put a halt on petrol increase, but they'll make out they're doing us a big favour.
We need it to go down which will never happen now.

Re: Not the dreaded Budget
I agree, while there is tension, they have an excuse not to bring in a fuel stabiliser. I believe its time for protests, but I doubt we brits have an apitite for it. Afterall, most do have a better standard of living than they did 10 years ago. Some people however have taken on big mortgages and when interest rates increase, they will be in big trouble and we could see lots of reposesions again.
People on millions should face higher tax and the bankers have got away with a real heist. The government need to realise who is actually propping up this economy and its not millionaires, its people on the ground, doing normal jobs and paying their wack of Vat and tax.
Putting in a fuel stabiliser at todays prices for the duration of the recession would help, but if fuel prices continued to rise due to the tension and wars, the government would lose revenue and would then need to increase income tax, so no real winners, whichever way.

Joke, by the way... :)Rossi fan wrote:Cant agree their.david@naughtyvend wrote: Obama?
There's a protest page on Facebook about the VED and vehicle fuel taxation, the move is to boycott all fuel purchase on April 01st 2011 to make a point... it's a bit toothless because we all need to fuel our vehicles but an intresting protest if it gets mainstream media coverage.
This budget isn't going to be popular, hopefully though small businesses shall be encouraged and social benefits managed well.
