I have just had a phone call from one of my best sites ,asking me to remove my tower as they have had an e-mail from head office saying all sweet machines are to be removed with immediate effect ,including Help for Heroes machines and this applies to all Marstons pubs.
The landlady wanted to keep the machine as customers liked it but head office wont allow it ?
I have got quite a few Marstons pubs so this could be very bad news, i wonder if Help for Heroes might be able to persuade them to keep the machines as it will greatly affect the money being raised for them if this is a country wide thing.
Anyone else affected ?
Cheers
Pete

Hi Pete.
Snap!! Have lost 3 out of my top 6 sites. I was told that perform marketing have got a contract to supply all sweet machines to marstons. I thought it was just the managed sites but this could well filter in to their portfolio of pubs, which would be a massive blow to independant operators. The only winner in all this is tubz vending, as they are the supplier of sweets to this company.

I`d love to see who took the backhanders at Marstons for that contract ! . . . It all boils down to who can grease the palm of the execs most
