Hi all
Got a four head beaver machine on site and cannot get lid off as lock seems busted and won't turn.
What's the best way of solving this.
Does the lock drill out easy.more worried about contaminating stock in the bowl.
Or is it best to force lid off and replace with another.
Cannot see a way of removing broken one to replace with new one without totally dismantling broken one.
Thanks if anyone can help
Mike Holness

Re: Beaver machine
Thanks Ade
That's what I thought.
I got six spare complete units.
Just wish there was a way of taken broken one off stand and replacing so I can sort at home.

Re: Beaver machine
if it is a flat key would ram a substantial flat screwdriver into the lock and twist, No need to drill the lock i have found.

Re: Beaver machine
Drilling is to be avoided for sure, screwdriver sounds good.

Re: Beaver machine
If you have a heavy duty flatblade screwdriver, preferably without a plastic handle or a flat blade from a multi head screwdriver that does the trick. Hit it with a hammer to push it in then use grips with long handles to hold the screwdriver and turn it. The lock will break and simply pull out. No damage to machine, no stock contamination.
