Gashapon capsule machine probs

I have a two head Gashapon machine (practically brand new) and the bottom device has stopped working suddenly?

You put a pound in and it comes straight out of the coin return slot. I have no instructions and no idea about this mech or machine, lots of cogs and stuff inside, think I would knacker it if I blindly started to play around with it

Problem most likely to be the coin mech. Carefully remove the coin mech! If it has a magnetic validator, pennys will stick to it until it clogs and won't work. clear the jam & reassemble?

Thanks, do I remove that by undoing the screws at the front?
