Hi guys,
Following on from my earlier post (rod not long enough) I've dismantled the tower again, checked that the bottom end of the long rod is properly engaged, and put back together. It is pretty much the same as before though - ie; there does not seem to be quite enough thread to tighten the bolt/
So, my question is, on a tubz vending tower, when assembled how much thread is exposed above the top bolt when tightened? Is it just a bit exposed, level with the top of the pole, or is the rod below the bolt (ie bolt only on a bit)?
Sorry if I sound paranoid, but they will be on site any day and I'm keen to make sure it doesnt fall apart within the first few days :)
Many thanks,
Mark

Re: Is this normal?
Differnt towers have slight differences but there are some that you need to compress the tower rings before you can get the bolt on. As long as you can get them back together the only real issue is wether they work or not, If you have had to compress the rings too far then you wont be able to spin the tower.
Hope this helps.
Andy

Re: Is this normal?
Hi Andy,
Many thanks - that does help a lot :) That was the issue - on this one I need to press down hard on the tower just to get the bolt on at all, when I'm sure previously on another I didnt have to, and a gentle press was all that was needed. Knowing that they can be slightly different is what I was hoping to hear, as that would explain it.
When bolted together it does feel slightly firmer to turn than some others, but maybe thats my imagination! It does work though, so I might just put it out an dsee what happens.
Thanks again Andy, cheers, Mark

Some are easier to turn than others Mark. I just work on the basis, "Could a child turn it" if not id still put it out but in a placwe where there are just adults.

Re: Is this normal?
Good idea Andy, this one might be a little hard for akid to turn (I'll get my kids to try when I get home later) so might save this one for more adult-oriented environments.
Cheers, Mark.
