Hi guys,
I have a few newer tubz vending machines where the coin mech turns freely with virtually no resistance. However, I also have a few older style machines where the coin mech is quite stiff and "scratchy" to turn, if that makes sense, even when it is out of the machine.
I've tried a bit of WD40 which helped a little, but it does still not turn freely. This is ok for adults, but kids might struggle to turn it.
Is there anything I could do to improve this, or is it just a sign that the mech is old and worn? Would loosening the "retention spring" on the finger help (so it doesn't push in so hard) or would that make it susceptible to the handle turning without any coin inserted?
Thanks in advance, Mark.

Re: Stiff/Scratchy coin mech
Change the wheel in mech or nib would say that the nib that thev retention spring pushes has flattened out or dug a groove in the wheel

Hi Matt, many thanks - sounds like a good plan! Any idea where I would buy those parts, as I dont think Rockvend have them listed? Thanks, Mark.

Surely someone here would have a broken mech for spares

Thanks Matt, I've got a couple of unsited machines at the moment so will swap over some parts and see if that helps :)
