Just took a site from a tubz vending operator who never went back to refill................... Good site as well blooming idiot

jim tubz vending do not care where they site, the latest i have heard is when the site phone them back to get it removed they are telling the site that there is an agreement in place that they have to keep it for 30 days! that way they havent got to get operator a replacement site! is it on h4h?

I know all about tubz vending. I had/have 3 sites, pubs. 3 years ago everything was going fine doing the business stuff, building relationships etc things you do with a growing business. Then tubz vending turn up and put a machine in. I had already decided when I put machines out I would walk away if a saw another tower in a site - there's no point we all know that.

So eventually 3 towers from tubz vending in my three sites:-

Pub 1 thought the tubz vending machine in his pub was part of my empire and that the tubz vending operator worked for me! It doesn't matter what he says when he put it in - what matters, is the landlords understanding of the situation when he leaves it there.

Pub 2, Publican thought he would get more commission - No he's not - you will only get what people have been spending anyway - the site only brought in no more than £25 a month on my machine, you're not going to get £50 now you have 2 machines the £25 would be split between two machines, which is what happened.

Pub 3 a combination of both the landlord wanting more commission and also thinking I had something to do with the tubz vending machine.

I resolved this by getting in touch with the tubz vending Operator, I Told him in a street with four pubs I'm in one, why put your machine right next to mine, pick one of the others. "I'll stay away from your sites if you stay away from mine". He then said - "Makes Sense," you take 2 I'll take 2, you have as much right to earn a living as me, OK - But tubz vending have told me to put it in there knowing that I'm there - ok so obviously they don't care about you or me, who's in charge of your business? if tubz vending told you to walk in front of a bus would you do it? I'll meet you halfway I'll remove my machine from Pub 1 you remove from pub 2, (I wanted an excuse to get out of pub 1 anyway). Thats just pub 3 to resolve. Then Vending Revolution go down the toilet. The next day at 09:00 hrs the phone goes and it's tubz vending wanting me to buy stock from them, absolutely incredible!!!! I had already put an order into Hurleys, who have been great I told him about the problems above and why would I ever consider doing that? they told me it's tubz vending policy to walkaway from a site where there's an existing machine from a competitor - well we know that's crap! then got a phone call from Simon Smith himself and an e-mail where he repeated the claim it's tubz vending Policy not to poach sites!!! Remember I still have a tubz vending machine in one of my sites - he then said and this is the bit which really p****d me off that he would replace the site for me at his cost!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why would I remove my machine from a site where I am happy, I have been for 3 years and get on well with the owner just because he wants it???? NO YOU REMOVE YOUR MACHINE FROM THE SITE AND GET ANOTHER SITE FOR YOUR OPERATOR! I want nothing to do with tubz vending I now have it in an e-mail where they state: -

that it's not tubz vending Company Policy to site machines in sites where there is an existing competitors Machine!!

You don't have Asda coming to my door and telling me I mustn't buy my shopping from Tesco! you don't see Tesco setting up a stall in an Asda car park!! This Sunday I intend to go down to Sittingbourne and tell Simon that I'm now living in his house and I have found him another place to go and live, he should like it it's a lovely wee ground floor flat in the town Main Street, am sure he will be happy.

You are right and tubz vending are just shooting themselves in the foot. If they weren't so aggressive with there site finding and poaching then we may well have bought sweets from them. A very short sited business model and it generally doesn't impress the landlrods!
