Clenport broke in two!!!

I've had two clenports which have broke in two on site. Seems the top rod has unwound off the bottle nut.

I've put it back on with ptfe tape but not convinced will work.

This has to be a serious design flaw?

Can a tubz vending single long rod be swapped for the two clenport rods?

the older clenports are rock solid. They just go on and on.

I use super glue. 7 tubes for a £ at poundland. Never fails.

use molegrips to 'screw' top rod in securely whilst holding the bottom nut securely in place with a spanner. Once done will hold.
