3 Toblerone Bars in a Pot

Post by Quinch »

tubz vending and Hurleys have only put 3 bars in their pots for a while now so I've been self-potting with 4 bars in a pot, not really to save any significant amount of money, mainly because 3 bars just looks so bad and the customer only gets around 24 grams of product.

I'm considering either potting 3 bars or just buying them in but when I look at a pot with 3 in it's genuinely depressing and the first time since I started in this business that I actually feel guilty and kind of ashamed at what I'm offering for £1.

Does anyone still pot 4 bars and has anyone who now sells 3 bar pots experienced a drop in sales? I think we need some other good quality branded chocolate alternative

I buy them in 3 bars to the pot, sell just as well....What's the problem? you can't put the price up so you have to give less.

It's just the amount less we're having to give that's difficult to stomach really.

I'm sure you remember a few years ago there used to be 3 bigger bars in a pot (similar size to Mars Fun Size), then they dropped it to 4 mini bars, now 3. Can you imagine what they would look like in a pot without the packaging? It would be laughable.

I'll give them a go with 3 in a pot and see how they do, if they still sell ok then I'll stick with them otherwise I'll look for another chocolate product I can self pot

I've stopped selling Toblerone, too expensive and spoils too easy.

I generally do Toblerone, Smarties, Mini Eggs and occasionally Mars Fun Size (when I can get them at a good price) and find them all good sellers (Mars a bit hit and miss) but if I ditch Toblerone that only leaves 2 of my regular choices so I need at least 1 other option.

Wawel sounds interesting Ade and I see they do lots of different flavours, chocolate mint and tiramisu sounds a bit niche: are they selling well and what do you do for stickers?

Any more chocolate suggestions that sell well appreciated
