I used to record every pot sold and keep a sheet for each site.

I got lazy and basically keep an excel spreadsheet now showing amount banked/commission paid. I now just go to each site with a notepad write what they need and cash up.

I never used any of the info I used to record and as you say when I get low on boxes i reorder

Me too, I got lazy.

I used to work fixing vending machines, refilling and meeting new clients.

Now I just spin round in my chair all day with my feet up, playing games on the computer.

That sounds ace. Have you mastered buttering sandwiches whilst spinning?

Hi All above,

It's not laziness! To either; employ others to work for you or skip micro managing each & every site detail. It's called delagation and or taking a global view of you business. When on site, asses, look for the additional opportunity, for sale signs etc. On leaving, everything is completed and additional requirements are noted. I count my weekly banking for sales, boxes for stock control. Leaves time for business development rather than counting & recording every pot sold!
