Credit where credit is due

Post by Snackmore »

You may remember I posted that everytime I had a delivery from Hurleys there were smashed pots at the bottom of some of the boxes, this happened on 3/3 deliveries.

Hurleys suggested that I purchase a pallet of stock (or part of) but to a small timer like me the outlay was too much. They suggested that they could invoice me for half now and half when I had used the first half up.

I am pleased to say that I have done this and the delivery arrived yesterday with no problems. As agreed I have paid half now and will ring them when I have used this.

Two things, Excellent business sense on their part as I have stayed with them and there is now an appreciation and loyalty towards them for giving me stock on credit on trust.

I would be the first to comment if things were not right so I feel it only fair to say WELL DONE HURLEY'S

I am guessing that is probably a one off from Hurley's, non the less that is a bloody good service and shows great commitment from the supplier to help out guys with fewer machines. Well done Hurleys.

Hi, I am pleased for you.

For anyone just starting out, this is a great idea. Very thoughtful too. Thinking outside of the box- that is what is needed to get an operator up to a sustainable level. Good call Paul and Rob

Don't forget guys they did not do this to help my credit, they did it as the delivery always got damaged by the courier. I would not have expected them to help me if it was just a case of I cant afford to buy the stock, no business in their right mind would do that in these circumstances. The crux of this is I had a problem, they came up with a solution and took a gamble (on me) at the same time. This will pay over and over as my ethics are such that I will not forget this.
