Had a site that was complaining that the coins were going in but no sweets out? I tested several times and couldnt find anything wrong, even had the coin mech off and showed the landlord how it worked, in the end I swapped the machine to keep him happy.
Had a call out at the weekend with the same fault this time when I tested it the coins did infact drop straight through. I took the coin mech off and discovered the back plate screws at the top were loose, tightened them up and bobs your uncle.
Not sure if this is a common fault, I have never had it in the 16 months I have been trading.
Thought I would share with you all if you were not aware

Re: Coin mech problems
Ive had the exact same problem Steve with one of mine. Not in as long as yours, this one in question was fixed 2 weeks ago and had been in since December.
The screws on mine we opened quite wide which ive never seen before either, unfortunately someone decided to go fishing with a hair clip in mine and made a right mess of it. Thankfully I had a spare and im going to get Hurleys to refurbish the one i took out.
Cheers

Re: Coin mech problems
yup, i find loosening the back plate screws a great way to increase profits. coins go in but no sweets out! also stops those annoying kids who put in the wrong coins...
