chinese vending tower and a clenport tower
Hi all
can anybody tell me the difference between a chinese vending tower and a clenport tower ?
i have a couple that i am having issues with , and was told they were clenport , but im having a lot of coin mech and barrel issues .
and then i bought a new machine from Gumtree , and it seems a lot more solid and is slightly different from the " clenport " ones i think i have ??
can somebody post a pic of each and tell me the difference .
ive googled but no luck
thanks

The ribbed/ripple on the sides of the machines are the Chinese machines, the smooth ones are the clenports. If you get some good coin mechs on the Chinese machines then they will vend ok. The Chinese coin mechs are a bit of a pain, but you do get some decent ones every now and then.

Chinese machines can be smooth as well. All Clenports have a two-piece central rod through them. Chinese have a single straight through rod.

The ribbed one are Ex Snack a Can macines. Clenportes have a different coin mech- much bigger that the smooth sided chinese copies that tubz vending buy.Atari2600 wrote:i also meant to mention that i have some with ribbed / rippled ? sides and some with smooth sides , the ribbed ones are very problematic , and the smooth are grand . are these both clenport ?

Re: chinese vending tower and a clenport tower
if original locks the keys are give away. Probbably a 915 on top for a clenport and a black or silver 1, 2 or 3 for a chinese

Re: chinese vending tower and a clenport tower
As far as I was aware, all ex snack a can ones are Chinese because Snack-a-can only sold/supplied the Chineese machines.
I may be wrong but this was my understanding.
