Repair Costs
How often do you have machines that break and how much do you spend fixing them/replacing parts?
What is your repair cost per tower per year?

Re: Repair Costs
The only problem is that the towers are invisible
Every now and then, they get knocked over
Usually, if I am unlucky, just require a couple of segments. But always have plenty of spares ready for such situations.
Occasionally, get some mech jams, some have been scrapped etc.
Towers are very robust in the main, repair costs tend to be minimal.

Sometimes, landlords do a runner with them therefore, they become missing in action/write offs
It happens several times a year.

Re: Repair Costs
Good to know.
Cheeky gits running off with the machines! Is that usually when a site closes? Or do you turn up one visit and the tower just isn't there?
What % of your towers would you say have a repair issue across a year?

Re: Repair Costs
Lost 3 last year, 4 the year before, one of the reasons I do not like pubs, but I have some!
They never tell you therefore, it is intent!
Had a cheeky chap ask me for an extra machine, had been doing okay so duly obliged. Turned up 4 weeks later, place shut. Guy has done a runner and no one knows his whereabouts- brewery is looking for him as well, wonder why?
Left huge debts and took the booze. Probably to drown his sorrows

Re: Repair Costs
Repaid, would say less than 5%
However, this year has been exceptional due to the mech change, all machines removed, fullstrip down, degunked, serviced, de-stickered and good as new back to customers.

Dam the spell check, should read repair and not repaid.

Re: Repair Costs
Thanks for the info.
I suppose it can be difficult to know if a business is going to go out of business all of a sudden and take your tower with them!

Re: Repair Costs
No, since they did a runner owing billions,it was premeditated!
That is why should mark your towers, look on Gumtree or eBay often to see if your machine is up for sale?
Sometimes they just break it and take the money and probably skip the rest. If they are so desperate they should talk, and I would give them x amount rather than lose a machine that costs/ including stock about £200 if it is a new machine less if it is an older machine.

Re: Repair Costs
1% was the norm for us for annual losses and most lost were due to company closures.
As Pablo has already said, always have a few spares with you at all times. Lid, lock, few segments, coin mech - that should do it.
Regards
Barbara
