Kris I am not having a pop at you. Just that there sometimes is alot of haze around the offers you have and who you give them to. I understand there are 3 managers so that might lie where the confusion is. I think you will be a good asset to this forum and that your posting is definately valuable to the forum.
Cheers
Jonny

Re: Lets have an open debate about vending
I agree, everyone should have access to the same pricing and in some way be rewarded for their commitment with fair and equal treatment to all customers without bias.
Over the years we've tried different methods based upon discount tiers over a three monthly average of turnover, but it gets complicated and other operators in your network of course do talk to each other (as we are here) and that's where the rot starts. Since having the opportunity recently to make effectual changes we have returned to same pricing for everyone, better prices if you do some of the work i.e. pack the goods we supply which is a choice each operator can make if available upon that product and for those with larger estates specially agreed prices on products we manufacture or own the brand upon. Every month we try and introduce a new special offer which helps operators and us to move slower stock items, some seasonal... after all everyone needs to make a margin and one piece of the jigsaw without the other is pointless. Most of our operational standards are now covered under what we call the "Fair Competition Policy" and it includes the pricing structure so everyone knows what to expect of each other.
So far so good and it's helped to keep our model clear and understandable, no doubt there shall be some issues and hopefully we can learn as we go... as we have over the years from mistakes made but that's the best way to learn. In house communication is paramount and no operator should be made to feel less worthwhile than any other regardless of their operational size of estate. What is a pricing war anyway, customers should want to deal with you if your prices are fair...

With regards to that copy of the price list that Jonny has pasted on the forum i sent that to all my customers not just the odd selected few...
So all my customers have a greater range to choose from, and ways to save more money
we also offer the widest range of snack for all your customers and always researching new ones to keep the interest their.
Sent them to ALL your customers? Strange I have been a franchisee for over 2 years and this is the first I have heard of this "favoured" price list.
Time to have a chat about my next order think kris.
