Broken Lock

Post by northern exile »

Hi

I've got a tower where the key won't turn in the cash lock - any ideas on how I can get the lock out.

Thanks

Hi,

You will either need- a hacksaw and cut the back of the lock off, or you can drill the centre out. hacksaw is cleaner.

Take the tower away to do this if possible, or at least do it in the back of the van.

Thanks,

Paul

If its a Vending Revolution tower, the pins in the locks have a habbit of falling out. You can sometimes get them back in using a paperclip.

Daz

If the pins fall out, they will do it again.
Locks needs repalcement, no other way around it.
Vending Revolution locks are garbage, as are all the locks on chinese towers.
I have found Pauls Hacksaw method the most successful way of removing broken locks.

I agree. But I've become quite good at lining them back up, even if it's just to get the buggers off for replacement.
