Unusual Vending proposition!!!!

Post by Vend And Glow »

Hi Guys i was approached today by a trader at the major music festivals asking if i could supply him with Ghd machines and glowstick vending machines!

Never considered anything like this before but i think it may be a winner.

The girls want their hair to look good so he thinks it would be a good earner for him.

With regards to the glowstick machines, well that's a no brainer!

He has a pitch for 10 foot by 10ft but only uses 6 foot of it so i am thinking i could put the ghd's on a stand with a mirror along with the glowstick machines.

This has got me thinking too about what other machines i could put in the space?

It means my machines will be at Glastonbury, Download, T in the Park and maybe V(tba)

What do you think any pro's or cons or suggestions for other machines?

I have suggested to him we just do a revenue share and he operates the machines. He is also willing to pay a deposit for safe keeping of the machines!

Maybe give him 50% of the Ghd and do a sale or return on the glowstick stock?

A good oportunity to sell your glowstick products.

But in my opinion you should sell then over the counter from a stall and at a large venue fron several stalls. I think this is the only way to capture volume sales over the short duration of these events. Vending machines offer a slower drip feed over an extended period. As a trial, offer over the counter sales in one location and a vending machine on another(at the same venue) and campare the results.

If you are going to offer machines they must be working 100%. You mentioned in a previous post that you are looking for test sites because you were not sure that your machine was the finished article yet and may need some tweeking or improvements before being offered for sale.....well you better get on and do this if you are to consider vending your product. look a repackaging your product and use a exixting, tried & tested vendor or an alternative method of selling your products.

Where I operate I see a person come into a pub with a basket of glow products, walk out ten minutes later having sold 20/30 units. Visit say 10 pubs, thats 300 units sold in one evening. One van full of stock, 10 baskets, a couple of stalls, set a target of 10,000 sales over the 3 days at Glastonbury.

You have as I see it two proporsitions one for glowsticks & one for the glowstick vending machine at £600+. They both need to be 100% before your project can get off the ground. I think you should also look at alternatives to sell you product in the meantime because there's definately a market for it.

Yea better sell them form a backpack or stand. Get it right and the publicity could help u get nightclub sites and night nightclub sales from your machines
