Snack-a-can

Post by Big Chris »

Hi,

Wonder if somebody could tell me why snack-a-can are so disliked?

And why most believe people believe that there system is unsustainable?

Are they any worse than tubz vending or Hurleys, if so why?

I've had a pub site for five years. popped in there on Thursday to top up the machine only to find a crap-a-can operater had stuck his machine next to mine! Of course there was no number on the machine for me to ring, what a surprise! quick word with the landlord, then out it went in the kitchen with a note on it to remove.... Really hope this Herbert rings me, because i'm right up for a Bull and Cow with this bloke... :toss: Regards Al.

Bad stuff al,

The reason I ask about snack a can is that as they don't post on here I thought I'd find a bit more out about them.

If they are so bad, then how are they still gaining new customers? And how have they managed to last 19 years?

Puzzles me how good people at Sweetfix are winding down as the customer orders are not there but companies like snack a can continue to operate.

In Past few years i have bought out 4 small Snack a can rounds.
All 4 have tried to make a go of it and failed due to very poor sites/sales. i.e. carehomes/garages/offices which dont generate sales most of the time.
Nothing against their stock but I have always binned all stock and put clear tubs in machines.

Before you ask I buy them basically for the machines themself as I find them to be good machines(and normally get a very good deal as person desperate to sell).
I give each site a few months to see if i can improve sales. If not then remove machine.

Chris

You really need to do a search, all this has been covered before in depth.
There are various good reasons why Snack A Can have been around along time and also some very good reasons why you should not get involved with them, I could writ a book but its all been covered before!
