Re: Advice on Approacing new sites
You get round that tracker issue by explaining that an online service has to activate the tracker and it costs you to do it so you're not going to **** around with their stupid games.Rossi fan wrote:I tried the tracker ruse. They moved it around the pub and when I went in, asked me to locate it with my tracker.
I think you get good and bad sites. Some will definately watch out for your machine, some dont give a ****. Often, you find out that they are the latter, when your tower goes missing.

Happyvending wrote:no need ro complicate anything...never take a machine in with you, maybe keep one in the van/car but dont ever talke one in..they are too big and will put the landlord off....
go in with a folder of everything you do,talk to him about why the sweets nut will do well and get him to walk around the pub with you so you can find somewhere to p;lace it..
i have done loads of site finding for myself and a few on here..if you cant get around 5 or 6 a day then give up..it really is the easiest thing in the world to find sites...god only knows why most find it hard...
also forget about anything other than pubs, sports clubs ect...a few will get you hairdresser ect...massive waste of time imo..you have to be hard nised and just keep calling
thanks for the reply , lot of good advice .
couple of questions ... in the bars do you get a lot of people ( drunk ) damaging the machines ? , also do you change to products in them eg , more nuts and chocolate products rather than Moams or jelly sweets etc ?
and best places to site them in bars ?
thanks
Tim

If you've ever worked in the double glazing industry you'll know all about rejection, especially when out canvassing. I used to condition myself when walking up the garden path to knock on the door 'there's a 97% chance that I'll be rejected' so when they say no, I'm never dissapointed & overwhelmed when I get a yes!

my advice is get tower in, dont even talk about risks or who`s responsible for what, you can build your relationship up over time and that will set you in good stead. if they close and take your tower what you going to do anyway its gone, report it to police, it aint coming back either way.
