Having read others replies. I am now doubtful that this would work, particularly if suppliers are paying the forum for the right to sell to members at an agreed lower price. Financially, its not feasable for them.

A sticker or membership logo on your machines is as far as this can go I fear.

Thanks,

Paul

Pete,

It does work already, how you think you can negotiate a better price as an individual rather than a consortium of buyers is beyond me. An example cost would be 1% of purchase for suppliers,If we got just 50 members to agree putchasing from one supplier only I could guarantee a better price could be otained. It also benefits suppliers as they know only there stock gets sold and nobody elses

Have a look at http://www.buyinggroups.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; there are loads of them.

David

Regarding suppliers paying a memership to sell I personally cant see working as you would have different rates for different operators which is something that could be avoided with group buying and yes flat rate buying would be ideal subject to minimum order quantities.

Paul,

If you go down the sticker only option then what protection against poaching do you have that we had discussed? who pays for stickers? who administrates it?
Regards Matt
