thanks for the help guys,

the **** won't move! I have now completely fucked the thread

Paul I will try the angle grinder option but wont you then be turning the nut and the screw at the same time? As the angel grinder would cut into the thread in order to put the flat screwdriver all the way through therefore the screwdriver would turn them all at the same time - Do you understand what i am trying to say lol

What other options are available to me now I have ruined the thread? Apart from putting my baseball bat through it and throwing it into the bin which I am close to doing

Ross what he was on about was grinding up a screwdriver making a somewhat resemblance of a bloody anti vandal screwdriver!!!

Plan B
Could you cut not drill the threaded bar out and then reattach another length with a running nut?

It doesnt mean the screwdriver is vandal proof, :pan: It means it undoes vandal resistant screw heads which are similar to the problematic nut. :thumbup:
