Hi Style,

What part of the UK are you based.

Paul,

The reality is, where you are, if you want to grow your business, you will have to expand your area. The population may be a bit sparse but the road links are good & fast. If I were in you're area, I would try the coastal towns Hull, Immingham, Grimsby, Cleethorpes and maybe Louth & Mablethorpe as well. you may get some holiday trade in these areas, may be good for toys & tatoos as well. For toys to do well, you need to go where the crowds are, few pubs meet this criteria. I've had tatoo machines sell out but they are in busy market streets. I've got one kiddy ride & 3 bouleys in pubs and based on the returns I get, it's not worth the investment made. I have four pubs with 4 x 20p toys, they outsell the above, parents will never complain with 20p vends. you may spend £20-25 on diesel a day, just have the sites to cover the cost. You may have to wait till your back gets a bit better first.

All the best,

Pete

Hi Pete.

I am pleased that you are doing good.

I am not able to expand outside of my areas, because my health is pretty bad. I put this post up to try and locate other site types that may be available in my current areas, as the siters are saying that all the good sites have been tried.

I am now having my 3rd back operation in 15 months. During that time, I have been unable to grow. Standing still has been a real struggle. I have lost lots of H4H sites because of this commercial agreement, which has not helped.

It is looking like I go into the hospital again on 18th October. The op I had in July 2011 did not get rid of the sciatica and the lumbar fusion surgery I had in April/12, has failed because a nut has come off the Titanium screws and bars they have put in my back to keep my spine stable. I cant work now and have a driver topping up, so I have to keep costs down. Obviously, I hope this operation sorts me out and I am able to gain control. If that were the case, I would consider doing as you say, going for Hull first, but I cant afford to buy new machines and pay the driver to install sites, due to the uncertanty surrounding my health.

Cheers,

Paul

Hi Pete,

Thanks. I am sure it will go better this time. Remain positive at all times.

He told me on Friday that he had contacted the manufacturer of the Titanium implant to discuss why it has failed. As a result of that conversation, he has decided to obtain one from another manufacturer, which has a better nut locking system. My Solicitor will be looking at all of this afterwards.

Cheers,

Paul

Which charity was it? - Do you operate in the same way as H4H used to operate?

The charity is `clic sargent` childrens cancer, i send a cheque each month and recieve a thankyou and confirmation letter, they supply the logo and information which has to go on the tower which i put on labels and put on tower. been doing it for round 5 months now and it works brilliantly. i also do charity football matches for them
