Where in the name of god did I say or even hint that I thought that you were posting to support Rob. I don't need you to big up Rob, I've known him quite a while and I know he's a stand up guy. I spent some time today chatting about pricing and sweets with him. I tell you what IS clear, is that you are trying to find out of me if you are getting as good a prices off Rob as every one else is. I wish to god I had never started this thread . It was only meant to help everyone else . From now on I will keep my thoughts and ideas and dealings to myself. Let everyone fend for themselves . Pay the high prices , what the f**k do I care.
Please correct me but I dont remember Hurleys ever using multi level pricing to the extreme. I can fully understand how Sweetfix have operated, but if you see a price list, you can compare it with another.
How would you remember them using multi level pricing, unless they gave you different price lists, you would only have the one price list that they gave you.

Noel,
You are wrong on every level. This situation occurrs quite frequently with your posts. If someone doesnt agree with you, you start on the defensive. I am not interested in entering into a debate, or being accused of thinks that are completely way off the mark. So I am ending it now.

Supplier pricing is commercially sensitive and it is only right that they keep their best prices close to their chest. When a customer shows the necessary committment and willingness to buy out they come, thats standard business practice, well done Jonny & Glen & Gavin!

It is true that some suppliers charge different people different prices for the same quantities. It's not fair and it's not right but it is also up to the customers, they do also have a responsibility to get the best deal possible for themselves.

I may be wrong , feel free to point out the facts I got wrong on as many levels as you like. I will freely hold my hands up and admit I'm wrong if you show me where I got my facts wrong. I don't care who agrees or disagrees with me. What I do care about is you accusing me of thinking that you were trying to big up Hurleys when I never even mentioned or even hinted at that. That's what I don't like. Go back and look at ALL my postings and you will see the same . ALL my postings can be backed up with facts. Not guesses or false accusations.

Noel,
I did not accuse you of anything and I dont want to fall out with you.

I said that it seems to me that you were thinking that way. You say that is not the case, so I accept that. Your post asked us to have our say. I have had mine and you have appeared to disagree with me. You dont know me, nor do I you, so I prefer not to get bogged down in a debate that takes us backwards and not forwards. This is why I prefer to close this before it just results in text for text's sake.

Thanks,

Paul

Reading between the lines, it seems to me that you have come to the conclusion that I am posting to support Rob, but that is not true.
That's where you accused me. But hey , what odds about it. We're not in the playground.

I've had an e-mail from Rob at Hurleys to say that the total price I added up for his order in the price comparison report is wrong. And with further investigation he is right. Rob sent me a pricelist in pdf form with his prices and these are the prices which I used. However I also received an e-mail from him saying that he would knock £1 a box of these prices. I did not see this at the time of going to press and used the pricelist which I had asked him for. This highlights the problems of multi level pricing. If I had received the pricelist in it's true form , who knows Rob could have been the one with the order now. However I have made my decision based on other factors as well and I am sticking by it. I apologise Rob if I caused you any offence but I was going on the printed pricelist you sent me. I hope this hasn't been too much hassle for you and thank you for pointing out the error. Robs Total by the way is £ 2067.50 which I have also amended on the original post. This knocked £53 off Robs total and leaves it closer to the other two prices.

Regards

Noel
