Are tubz vending followers or leaders?
Just wanted to put the question out there really and see what everyone thinks.
Personally if sweetfix and hurleys were not around I would be paying at least an extra 20% for stock. so I suppose I have a lot to thank them for because tubz vending followed the trend they never set it!
Toblerone, great new product which tubz vending dis well in sourcing but to price it at £43 per box is day light robbery. Hurleys got hold of the product and are charging £35 per box which I imagine is a fair price for hurleys to make a bit of money leaving us to make a bit of money. So will tubz vending just do the usual and follow suit which is what I'm predicting.
I think they let themselves down when they tried selling us the to Toblerones, I think hurleys and sweetfix are a lot bolder in their decision making and more of what you see is what you get
Will be interesting what tubz vending have to say in this?
Regards
Ross

I have the conversation with Simon and Paul my account manager at tubz vending. Now im not bitching at tubz vending they have always looked after me but I personaly think its irisponsible to put a product on the market at this price. Im in it to make money and you cant make money if your buying stock at this price. Ok if your a smaller operator maybe part time but not a full time operator. 43p + 20% Vat + 20P commission +4% flat rate vat and in my case 10p wages for the driver =85.6p a profit of 14.4pence minus overheads. go on dragons den with this set of figures and they would laugh at you

Chaps i think you will find that we sell the Mini Toblerone for £40.95 and this is available in our buy 10 get 1 free offer which can equate to as much as a £5 discount off the product.
Please also note that we put labelling on the products which means that there is extra cost to us.
Please also note that we give our customers vouchers with every box ordered, so i don’t think there is much in it really.
If People do not want our buy 10 get 1 free offer then we will of course price match any of our competitors as it states in our price promise.....

Ok Kris i understand what you are saying but even at that price its not a viable product to a proffessional vendor. i think you should of waited untill the euro came in if it ever does. The product is viable in Ireland with the 2 euro vend. Feel free to disagree but its my point of view. 40.95x10 devide by 11 =37.22p =44.66 +20% +4% flat rate vat+10p wages =78.66p= 21.3 p profit.

I never got ny vouchers with my last pallet Kris. You did price match ok but that's just tubz vending charging normal prices at last instead of robbing the people. Price matching is not a discount. It's just Glenn setting normal prices and the rest of you are having to follow to stay in the game. So why no vouchers ???
Brian , at those prices for Tob it's not even viable in Ireland.

Hi Noel,
I had left the office when i replied to your thread. Ross I offered this to you just before out news letter came out and you said that you cant spend no more money on the business because you needed to get the towers sited that were unsited...
That is why I have not given you the vouchers... it would be silly for me to be on this forum and not offer my customers the special offers and loyalty schemes??? it would not make no business sense at all...
Ross you are more than welcome to start having the vouchers if you'd like mate.. I have always looked after you mate....
