Hi all,
I would be interested to know if ops who are supporting H4H are issuing receipts to the sites. I have lost quite a few sites when I am asked how much goes to the charity and tell them it is 10%. I find the bigger businesses want some sort of record, which I can understand, but when you lose a good site because you have been honest, it is a real bummer.
Thanks,
Paul

Re: H4H procedures
I issue receipts for all commision sites showing the 20% if appropriate.
I only have 4 H4H sites and do not issue receipts as my contract is with H4H/Hurleys and not the site

Re: H4H procedures
Hi Steve,
That is what I do, but I have lost another site today, when they asked firstly for a record of the money that the tower is raising and the percentage that goes to H4H. She asked to see my H4H documentation which I provided, but when she saw the letter written to Hurleys by H4H, she said that the staff felt that more should go to H4H. It would be better if Hurleys could supply a confirmation letter each quarter showing how much in total has been raised by all of us. This may help to keep sites. I dont lose comsission sites because of how much the site gets, but I have lost too many H4H when I have been honest with the site about the corporate agreement.
All my comission sites receive a receipt.

Re: H4H procedures
Agreed, as a result I have converted two sites from my original 6 H4H ones to commision and added a Pringles tower too. Rather than losing the site offer them the commision or that they could give the 20% to a local charity, seemed to work for me. The other 4 sites are in large chains and I choose not to rock the boat considering they are allegedly on national deals.

Re: H4H procedures
Hi Steve,
Converting is an option I will consider if I have this problem again. It is usually the big chain businesses that want to know how much is going to H4H from their machine and each receipt does not show a large enough amount. If this carries on, I will stop finding new H4H sites, but as said before, if suppliers were to provide a letter each quarter stating total donations, that could be a positive step forward.
Thanks,
Paul.

Re: H4H procedures
I always give the site the option to go on to commision either for themselves or there chosen charity. If they switch over i take the h4H stickers of straight away

I have become an expert having bought 30 jelly bean towers with 3 stickers around the top of them all!
I use a scraper to start the sticker off and then peel off then I use a rag soaked with sticky stuff remover (bought from B & Q) then rub like buggery and it all comes up like new, some have suggested heating with a hairdryer first but I have not found that any easier and you cant do that at site
