Demise of Snac a can

Just had a bloke phone me up asking if i want to buy all his sweet towers as his franchiser has gone into liquidation , i was in a hurry so didnt ask who it was , am i right in asuming its snac a can !
If so what is this likely to mean for the rest of us.

oh dear and they were the uks num 1 tower brand?!. Im surised actually if they have gone into liquidation checking creditsafe they seem ok? Never good to see a company fold though as I feel for the staff. I imagine tubz vending are very happy

Surely now is the time for Sweetfix to reconsider having invested heavily in machinery presumably? What a great chance to increase your customer base?

:wtf: One problem may be where there have been a snack a can tower and another opearators tower there is a possibility they are now both going to have same products in.

There is no money in it without owning your own pot and huge quantitys. Plus the hassle involved trying to win business is pointless.

Once you have factored in warehouse, machine breakdown, staff costs, hassle, cutting costs to win business you are more or less wasting your time we are packing for a selected few to keep the quantitys going to get the right stock prices.

what do people really think suppliers make per box? I can confirm it is no where near the amount you get for retail vending.

Now that Snack A Can have gone it is going to be really interesting to see which supplier puts prices up first, there are sweet price increases on the way and it will be interesting to see what happens. Sweet prices only go one way year on year. competition kept mini can prices down, with no competition I imagine it is time the remaining suppliers thought about making money. Independents will get the best deal but those tied to a supplier are absolutely screwed.

Certain to say the mini can market is going to have another interesting year.

Jonny you and Glenn have been talking about price rises for months !!! Quantities in the pot will be reduced first and now that sweet fix and snack a can are no longer trading on a large scale there will be a lot more business moving to the other suppliers which will in turn make them buy more stock from the wholesalers resulting in a larger discount.

Can't see price rises for a long time

Paul at Hurleys said that that their prices will not be rising due to them now buying much more and in a more direct way.
