Best place to dispose of old broken machines?
I have a few machines which have been smashed up from brake - ins where is the best place to get rid of them? The tip won't let me throw them there as they see it as commercial waste and I can't exactly throw it in my dustbin!
Where do you get rid of them? And what parts are worth keeping apart from the lock/coin mech and plastic segments? Is the barrel worth taking out?
Appreciate your help
Cheers
Ross

Yes keep the barrels mate cuz when you have a barrel break you will be able to replace it. I've always took my scrap parts and mcs to the local tip no problem

Do you just throw them in the general rubbish section or go to the metals section?

Ross,
I use a product box and place the broken bits inside then put tyhe box in a plastic bin liner and dump it at the refuse centre. Always save the barrels, mechs, lids, cash box door, lock and plate, cash box and the black base plate, as this is interchangeable with chinese and clenporte. Any metal can be recycled at the dump also.
Cheers,
Paul

Some councils issue permits that you display on your dash. I have one and so long as i display it I am permitted to dump. Free too.

You dont get that luxury up here in Scunny. If you are a business, you have to register and pay £60 per tonne tipped, including carboard, which they make money on. I went in with my van to dump some domestic waste, but because the van had sweets in he concluded that it was a business van and said I would have to pay. I told them where to go and we now have to use the car. They cant stop you doing that. They are twats up here- little hitlers. I burn my carboard now, which I hate doing, but I am sure not going to pay them to take it, when they sell it on.
