Hi,
Take a fully stocked tower with you, or good images on a tablet. Offer the site manager some samples. Stress that there is no risk for them and you refill the machine frequently and take all responsibility for it. £20% commission at each refill is tye norm.
Thanks,
Paul

I wouldn't say all responsibility is yours, just say you will fix any breakdowns etc. as soon as they here no responsibility u have no comeback if they go walkies. I used to say your responsibility is to let me know if your closing down of moving , if they don't agree to that then don't bother.

With towers, you have to take the responsibility Matt. Sometimes it is a deal breaker I have found. I agree that you perhaps dont need to stae this unless asked. At the end of the day, if the site thinks they have financial obligations if the machine gets broken, they will send you packing.

I agree regarding damage etc but never say the site has no responsibility. It likes saying help yourself when you leave.

Hi Gavin, dorsetvending wrote:Yes you cant be too soft with the site
It's not being soft and we dont have a right to walk into a site and place a machine in someonelses business premises. You have to negotiate it in, as you will know. I think that you have to have some sort of agreement, be it verbal, or on paper and sometimes getting an agreement involves telling a site that you take responsibility for the machine.
Once you prove that you are looking after them, then they look after you.
Thanks,
Paul

No but if you dont give the site some responsibility then your machine is fair game.........I always ask the site to be aware of the expectations re the machine security and have used the brilliant ruse by Noel re: use of tracker devices on machines.
Each machine costs you money.....do all you can to protect your assets

Re: Advice on Approacing new sites
I tried the tracker ruse. They moved it around the pub and when I went in, asked me to locate it with my tracker.
I think you get good and bad sites. Some will definately watch out for your machine, some dont give a ****. Often, you find out that they are the latter, when your tower goes missing.

Re: Advice on Approacing new sites
no need ro complicate anything...never take a machine in with you, maybe keep one in the van/car but dont ever talke one in..they are too big and will put the landlord off....
go in with a folder of everything you do,talk to him about why the sweets nut will do well and get him to walk around the pub with you so you can find somewhere to p;lace it..
i have done loads of site finding for myself and a few on here..if you cant get around 5 or 6 a day then give up..it really is the easiest thing in the world to find sites...god only knows why most find it hard...
also forget about anything other than pubs, sports clubs ect...a few will get you hairdresser ect...massive waste of time imo..you have to be hard nised and just keep calling
