I would appreciate it if people could give me their opinion on the best 'sticky stuff' remover. I have looked in Tesco's, Homebase, Poundstretcher and a few other DIY stores but none of them seem to sell it. I need it to remove stickers from towers, I normally just put the new sticker over the old one but after doing this several times they start curling at the edges.
Also, any suggestions for what sort of tool to use to scrape off the old stickers without scratching the plastic ? I have used a modified car windscreen ice scraper in the past but it doesn't work very well and I think it may be marking the plastic.
Any advice much appreciated

i use one called "sticky stuff remover", you can get it in halfords, robert dyas, or on the internet. failing that, warm soapy water can break up the non-glossy stickers.
any residue can be scraped off with the side of a cheap blade from a poundstore. time consuming but it doesn't scratch nearly as much as a larger/sharper stanley knife etc

Leave them to soak in a bath overnight. Most will just lift off and you can use sticky stuff remover on the stubborn bits. Mrs hates me for it,lol.

I use a heat gun and they come off in a flash. You do need to make sure your product is lower than the sticker, especially chocolate, as it will melt them.

Remove paper, and then, when there is the glue only use wd40. Let it stay on it for a minute or two and remove it with cloth. Alternatively use Pampers baby wipes. They do miracles, however a bit too expensive. I've bought them reduced in ASDA for less than a quid for a 4x64 pack.

You don't even need a heat gun-a hairdryer will do it. It does depend on the sticker if tubz vending they peel with hairdryer if Hurleys hot soapy water and then sticky stuff remover.

Hi, I have just bought one of these cordless heat guns from e-bay and it does the job a treat. 350816094872Quinch wrote:I would appreciate it if people could give me their opinion on the best 'sticky stuff' remover. Trust me. This is a lot better and costs less than a can of spray. Stickers off in around 5 seconds.
