You can buy them by postcode but unless you are following up within a few days this method can be ineffective.

Re: Flyering/e-mail campaign
I would suggest Email campaigns are a waste of time, I have about 3 business email addresses and a couple of personal ones and I read about 1 in 100 sales emails (and the ones i do read, i always regret as a complete waste of time!)
I usually recognise them as canvasing emails by the name of sender and subject line and delete them all without reading.
Only my opinion but I would suggest if you have to buy this information it wont work out cost effective, as only about one in 100 will actually be read, and you might only get 5% of these as potential customers.
I tried flyering on a very small scale and got nothing!
But good luck...

Yes have to agree my main job is selling freight and emails get you no where, telephone can have some success best way is walking into the place, my best trick is to scout a few pubs out if they look good take the missus for a drink on a quiet week night, get a drink, play pool etc try to get served by person in charge (they normally work the quieter shifts) and give them a small tip. Its amazing how giving someone a pound suddenley has them onside....
Finnish first drink, fingers crossed they come and collect glasses from you table at this point, say something along the lines of "just wondered do you encourage families in here" they say yes 9 times out of 10 as they think your going to come back for a meal or something, then at this point hit them with sales pitch offer them a trial etc.
I would say I have 70% success rate with this!

this is genius, and I bet the alcohol helps you deliver the pitch with confidence haha... think i'll have to borrow Mark's bike for this technique or I'll end up losing my licence again...popp665 wrote:Yes have to agree my main job is selling freight and emails get you no where, telephone can have some success best way is walking into the place, my best trick is to scout a few pubs out if they look good take the missus for a drink on a quiet week night, get a drink, play pool etc try to get served by person in charge (they normally work the quieter shifts) and give them a small tip. Cheaper than 20 quid a site to! Although taken the missus to some very questionable joints! Taking her has its own merits as shes got massive knockers lol
