Hi Everybody. Joined the forum early last year and have enjoyed reading the various topics so thought it time to introduce myself.
I operate 500 sweet vending towers in Suffolk, Essex, Cambs and Norfolk. Originally a Snack-a-Can Franchisee but now have a charity agreement with East Anglian Children's Hospices. If any other operator would like to take advantage of the EACH deal I will be happy to discuss as the more we can raise for them the better.
Also Am interested in selling/renting 50 towers in Lowestoft/Great Yarmouth area.
Please call 07570 065399 if anybody interested in either topic.

Hi Andy
Just sweet towers. Had a look at Pringles but the margins are too low and would not justify stock space in van.
Did all the work myself until two months ago. Now using a self emp[l;oyed guy on commission basis as a trial.

Re: introduction
Hi Dusty,
That is an impressive amount of towers!
And an incredible amount of stock out with!
Even more impressive is that you managed this all by yourself
I lived in Ipswich back in the early 90s so know the area well - have to say, totally impressed you have managed to get 500 towers in Suffolk/Norfolk, so hats off to you!
If it is okay with you I would like to pick your brains periodically.

Hi Nigel
Only 4. As you know I spread my net widely and find that other types of outlets such as equestrian centres, logistics depots,
care homes, taxi offices, engineering works etc can produce good regular business and that pubs/clubs cause problems of scheduling due to late opening hours!

Re: introduction
There are some great sites that aren't licensed but I find that you need to get 6/8 sites to find one good one. Ive got half a dozen staff rooms doing £100 plus per month but far too many doing £25/30 every 3 months.

Re: introduction
I agree. The more sites you have the lower your averages get but the smaller ones are worthwhile if they are in clusters near to the better ones. I also find some of the best sites drop off and vice versa. Basically I budget to spend 2.5% of my gross turnover on new sites annually. I use professional site finders to set up an area and then fill in myself. Usually I carry a spare tower or two to try and place them as the opportunity arises. Also getting a lot of referrals from multiple retailers to their fellow sites in other towns. I give them 5 cans for each successful placing.
