Re: Penguin Solutions/Site Finding
Wow, jo rips some people off it seems , I didn't believe it at first but now I do, and it seems that those People all just buckle up and do nothing , can't even be bothered to report him . Sometimes I wonder, people ask questions such as why didn't you do checks etc why didn't you do this, but I understand now. They just like moaning and dOnt actually do anything about it,the guy it seems has ripped a lot of people off on Here and nobody wants to talk about it or do anything, just sit , moan and point fingers.
I offered help to people pm them and they can't be bothered to answer .
Tbh I have a lot to think about with this site , very disappointed that 600 members can't sort anything like this out.
Posts are dropping , people just logging on and reading. (Loads of readers!!) bit if you don't post what's happening in the vending world then it's gonna be a dying source
Regards
Matt

Re: Penguin Solutions/Site Finding
Hi Matt
I have noticed posts are dropping too, and yes, I am guilty of reading and not posting lately.
Lets face it, you can only talk so much about the towers and tubz vending and hurleys etc.
It dosen't really seem that this forum has caught on for the refrigerated vending guys, not sure why?
When new members come on here it is invariably to ask about a new franchise with tubz vending or hurleys and they are almost always referred to the vast amount of previous posts on here as no one keeps to want churning out the same old answers to the same old questions ie what sells the best, tubz vending or hurleys, who has the best site finding, will I get ripped off, etc etc.............
The forum has matured into something more like a FAQ database and ppl don't seem to want to talk as much and everyone just getting on and doing there own thing.
I think you done great with this site, NO ONe could have done it better IMO, Matt.
Cheers
Nigel

Re: Penguin Solutions/Site Finding
I think in some ways the merging of the old vending forum to the broader vending forum has maybe watered down the support. So maybe not wise to bring another another sector in to the fold.
Nigel makes some useful points, think it is natural that the more experienced vendors do fall away as you tend to answer same questions. The forum has been brilliant in so many ways helping me with machine issues, finding stock at the right price and making contacts during my site finding days. It's also been fantastic way to make some close friendships in the trade that still continue to this day.
Matt, don't sweat on the small stuff. You can be proud of getting the forum to a level where 600 users have benefitted in some way. You can't force people to post, but I am surprised at the apathy on here sometimes, especially relating to lost funds.
Matt you are one of the decent guys in the world, so don't let the bastards get you down.

Ditto, I have had loads of useful info from the forum.
Also done some good deals and made some contacts.
I wouldn't have known about Jo without the forum but luckily I posted to see if anyone had experienced any success from him before giving him money. Really glad I asked it saved me a couple of hundred quid!

Re: Penguin Solutions/Site Finding
Surely though if all tower vending questions are here answered and so people post less just use it as an encyclopedia for tower vending then it is better to look at expanding?
