Hi more newbies.
Style Vending has been operated solely by Marie for a couple of years and has built from a start point of 25 machines (towers) to now around 125 mainly towers but around 20 toys. I (Andy -husband) am now looking to join the business but losing my income means we need to expand and really fast.
Any advice welcome, we have considered buying some bouncy castles to run alongside, has anyone tried that, is it worth it, looks like money for old rope.
Also what else is good to vend, we are a bit scared of electronic machines because of potential maintenance problems, is this wise or is there an easy solution.
We are based in Milton Keynes looking to travel up to about 25 miles, hope that doesn't upset anyone on here.
Cheers
Andy

Re: Newbie and looking for advice
If you want to expand fast the best way is to purchase existing rounds. Go into a few pubs/sites locally take the numbers off machines and give then a ring and enquire if they want to sell. Buying machines then sitefinding is a slow & labourious process.

Re: Newbie and looking for advice
Agree with the 2 above, but buying out rounds costs a lot of money and no matter how much sales data you look at you will never know exactly how well the round does until it's to late.
Depends on your finances, buying rounds is a good option or alternatively aim to site ten a month yourself.

you`ll get plenty advice on here mechanical or electronic , you wont upset anyone as long as you dont site in an existing vendors site.

Re: Newbie and looking for advice
Thanks guys,
We don't plan on straying far from home.Probably no more than 25m from MK. First target is another 100 towers in the next 3/4 months then the add ons.
More questions
1 - in trying to expand we have potentially picked up sites in other parts of the country. In the past we have given them away or just let them slide. Whats the protocol, can we sell them. Had an enquiry from Liverpool today.
2 - Ride ons - Whats the normal commission split, is it worth trying to get them sited outside local newsagents etc or wont they get the return.
3 - Beavers - 20p or 50p
Thanks in anticipation.

Re: Newbie and looking for advice
yeah def sell sites on here, commission for kiddy rides is 50/50, newsagents good if its busy street, bulks, some do 50p some 20p, i dont think it makes a dif as you adjust sweets dispensed accordingly.
