Hi all,
I am considering buying into the tubz vending franchise as they seem to be well established vending company. To be completely honest I have no idea of vending except from what I have read on this site and looking through the tubz vending brochure.
From what I seen so far within this industry it appears that you get good sites but also you get bad sites as well which seems to be the nature of the beast from what I have read so far on this forum. Therefore, in my opinion to reduce my risk I feel that I will only commit to 10 towers with tubz vending at first to see how well they do - do you think this is reasonable or not cost effective? Thanks Karl

Morning Karl
Welcome to the Coin Operated Forum, good to see you here.
With any site which is acquired for any operator, there is never any way of know how the site will perform and all of us who are in the vending industry accepts that. With any site which is acquired for you, we all do our upmost to make sure the site is qualified. There are other factors which affect sales and that is the position of the tower together with the service that you offer the site.
Whereabouts in the UK are you considering starting your vending business?
Kind regards,
Barbara Fellowes

Karl
If you read the threads on here you will see this has been discussed on numerous occasions, you pay a premium for franchising and then there is discussion over what support you get compared with going it alone and using a site finder direct.

Hi karl,
I think what Steve is saying is you may be better off buying some 2nd hand machines off ebay and getting them sited using Barbara on here.
You can probably get a 2nd hand tower and get Barbara to site it for about £130 all in compared to £300 as a franchise. Most of us on here would rather you buy a franchise though as we tend to buy our towers and sites from franchisees who have packed it in.
Where abouts are you looking to set up, some areas are far easier than others.

Re: Considering buying franchise with tubz vending vending vending
Just to put in some advice on buying second hand from EBay or anyone for that matter. There are many good used Towers on the second hand market and many operators have built good sound businesses by doing so. Few questions to ask:
Which brand are they.
How old are they.
Guaranteed full working order.
Clean.
Stand included.
Send photos of the exact ones that you are buying.
Are spares available.
If unsure of any answers, ASK us here and we can advise.
Buying new is more expensive, but it will give you piece of mind especially when starting out.
Hope this helps.
