Supplier Directory?

I have noticed that someone has suggested a directory of operators (which I think is a great idea) but what about a directory of suppliers (such as machines/fills/site finding etc.)

I realise there is a buy/sell section where members can advertise their goods but I think just a general directory that is split into relevant categories would help us newbie's just starting out.

Any thoughts?

Firstly,Thanks for the input. Regarding suppliers directory, we are starting a revamp of the website hopefully next week or so which will have a page for any supplier that wishes to sponsor the forum.
