Paul can you please amend your spreadsheet to reflect the true saving or can the mods take off the pdf because it shouldn't be allowed for competitors to put up incorrect prices.

Personally I think Glenn should use regression analysis to calculate the optimal mix of products for any given site, perhaps also fitting a high order polynomial, using the cubic-spline method to create a stochastic algorithm we could all use, personally I feel that the simple multi-variate linear method as used so far in this thread seems so crude :)

I tell you what if I had the time I could do that on excel but instead I might get my sister to do it so if everyone could tell me there mini can consumption for the 11 lines we stock on an average monthly basis taking in to account a yearly average and there opinion on sales been better or worse than than the previous 12 months we could truly get down to who is the cheapest tub supplier in potentially the world!!

I think its soon going to be a race to see who can get the chinese to do it first!!!

Fair point jon, I think suppliers should stick to putting their prices up and letting the operators work out which is best. Im sure most of us know how to work a calculator and can do the math ourselves.

I can understand Glenn's method ,no problem. I get where the 1.5 is coming from, it's simple mathematics. But if every supplier just puts up their own prices and offers then we will be able to work it out ourselves. I see tubz vending hasn't stuck their oar in to this discussion and that to me is a MUCH bigger statement than sitting trying to diss the opposition.. Fair play to them on this one. That's intriguing and makes me want to talk to tubz vending more than if they had joined in the pissing contest.

I don't think this thread has degenerated like some on ukbusinessforums do. It is both tubz vending and Hurleys who have directly quoted our name and prices in their newsletter/posts. It just would have been nice if the calculations were correct without me having to waste my time putting the record straight.
