Hi
I’m new over here and I’m not in the vending business yet. I’m thinking about it.
I’ve got one question... Well, I’ve got more of them, but this one is really bothering me:
When you pay the commission to the landlord/site owner, does he give you an invoice or you give him an invoice? I saw a kind of invoice on tubz vending website and it looks like the vendor gives invoice to the landlord. Where can I get this kind of invoice and does it has any special name (that invoice)?

Re: Commission invoice
dont worry about invoices mate, just make a note for yourself, lots of landlords just put the money in thier pocket and dont like written proof for tax reasons..
end of yr accounting can be done just as easy by adding the amount you have bought and then take away stock left..

Re: Commission invoice
I know this has been discussed before but cant remember outcome, accountant and HMRC have both said to me the venues need to invoice you for there commisions. I know a lot of them dont and wont but that is the official line anyway.

So long as you have a duplicate of the receipt that you give to the site, with their signature on, you satisfy the law. Its up to the site, if they bin the receipt. If the tax man wanted to, he could pick receipts from your accounts and cross check with the sites accounts, but I doubt they would for the little it amounts to. The main thing is to keep your books accurate, then you have nothing to fear from anyone.
You can get pads made up, similar to tubz vending ones for much less at your local printer, but you need to buy a small batch. I bought 300 and they were £372 including Vat- but this was a while ago.

Also if your VAT registered (not flat rate) and you get an invoice you can then claim the vat back on the commisions paid.Rossi fan wrote:National Vending wrote:I know this has been discussed before but cant remember outcome, accountant and HMRC have both said to me the venues need to invoice you for there commisions.
