Re: Pringles Again.
I heard the next one is september which will be at bookers but this is dependant on supply issues. Also I believe there will be a price increase soon which will see the offer at £3.99/£4.29.
Diamond foods will be looking to make more money and they will see this as the way.
Cheers

Re: Pringles Again.
I don't know the full story on Diamond Foods, but I take it they have taken over the Pringles part of the P&G business?
If so, does this mean that they may stop the sale of Pringles, 40g, packets?
Or, more likely, as suggested, hike the price up to a unprofitable (for us) level?
Either way are there any serious alternatives?

Technically Pringles is still majority owned by P & G if you go by the shareholders but the debt has been taken on by diamond foods. I would say P & G wants a more experienced crisp retailer to give it direction. I think pringles has lacked direction.
I don't know whether they would change size. I think inevitably they will, because when you open a 40g pot of pringles you only get a half full pot. Now all the air in the pot costs money to store, distribute and retail space.so if I was buying pringles this would be my first focus in upping margins. Another thing to remember is that all food companies are reducing size and packaging for these reasons aswell as ingredient price rises so there would be no uproar if they did this. Vending probably dosen't even make up 1% of there UK sales so frankly they don't give a sh1t.
I think that even if you put all the pringle vending operators together in the UK they would probably buy less 40g pringles than the likes of tesco.
Alternatives really are to pack your own and find branded stuff already made to put in.
Just my 2 pence.

Re: Pringles Again.
Hi Jonny,
Being someone that has not used the Peringles self fill pots, but have read previous posts about them not vending properly. Do you know if this is still an issue. If not, then I will try and introduce self filled items gradually now.
Thanks,
Paul

Re: Pringles Again.
Bookers has sent us confirmation that the offers for the 40g Pringles will be on promotion on M15 & M17.
As far as I can make out that means week 15 & week 17, I would advise to double check with your local wholesalers but the promo might be on as quick as next week, but again please check.
Cheers!!

Re: Pringles Again.
Hi Paul,
The portugese pots don't Jam from what I have heard.
tubz vending pots I heard they had to be turned upside down, don't know whether Kris can confirm this?
As for pringles booker offer I went in to my local bookers yesterday and they were pretty much out of all pringles big tins and small tins, asked them why and they said they cannot get any they are being limited to about 10% of normal orders and they did not know when the situation was going to change.
I would be amazed if there was on offer on. My thoughts would be they already pre plan there offers and if the production problem is short notice then they will do the offer but have no pringles to actually sell!!
Cheers
