Dismantling a tower!

Post by iVend »

I feel totally embarred and totally frustrated, because I have a coin mech jam, but I can't loosen the nut on the threaded bar - it is just so tight. This is the second machine I've tried to dismantle. I just can't see it being that difficult! :problem:

Can someone please help?

Have you soaked it in wd40 or similar? Never had the problem but I do eat lots of spinach

Why are you dismantling the machine for a coin mech jam.

You need to release the coin mech by putting your hand in through the coin tray hole and pull a little lever down on the right hand side of the mech. Its difficult to get at and you have to almost dislocate your finget to get it, but once you have done it, its easy after that.

Once you have it out, please post the reason why you think its jamming and I will try and help.

Thanks,

paul

Voila!!!!!!

When you mentioned the WD40, I thought maybe I should go and give it another try as it has been a while since I last did it.

I first thought I had snapped the threaded rod ( :50: too much spinach!), but then I realised the rod is split - it doesn't go all the way through! Nobody told me! :out:

Now I'll go and see if I can break it apart some more!

Thanks!!!!

Got the coinmech out! I think it just needs a bit of cleaning. Seems as though the pound got stuck.

Thanks for the help!

The coin that was in there is definitely a bit thicker and and has more of a bronze colour? It doesn't slide easily into the coinmech as well, you have to push it in. Another pound coin just slides in and gets pushed out easily. Wonder if this is maybe not a genuine coin?
