Franchise

Post by Big Chris »

Hi there, i am pretty new to vending have started my own little round, which is doing ok.

I was hoping to get a little advice, i currently have been getting all my stock from one supplier, and they also do my side finding service (tubz vending). They have done about 5 with me now, but with my last order they sent a contract out, which i am now being pressurised into signing. The contract is basically rail-roading me into only using them for my stocks, and siting service, everything basically. I feel as though i shouldn't be signing this agreement, but wanted to get some advice from the 'pro's' and see what they think about it?

Does this mean i would loose all independance if i sign it? As a lot you guys talk about sweetfix as a good option??

Cheers all.

I have never bought from tubz vending and have no intention of doing so having read all the horror stories on here. You have 2 very good alternatives in both Sweetfix and Hurley's which means you do not have to sign anything. Hurley's will site find for you (not used them for that so can't comment) or do it yourself.

Just read the history of tubz vending on here and what they have done to 'their' sites and 'their' operators.

Thanks guys,

Yeh unfortunatley i didn't find this forum until i had already bought some stock, machines and sites.

Just worried about the sites they have found for me so far, weather these will be taken off me, or as i have read a lot they will place another tower in that venue.

I deff think i am going to change the supplier ect i am with, the information on the forum and my experience personally have swayed the decision.

Hi,

I use Hurleys for some of my site finding and find them ok(some sites doing 20 sales week).
Had a few problems when i went to put towers into new sites and thier were other vendors in there already(The site wanted mine as i use use H4H) But i just left the site and Called Paul @ Hurleys who just sorted me out some new ones. No problem.

I do hear Sweetfix are good too but i cant comment.
As Gavin says best to be independent mate, no ties and if you have problems with who you buy off you can just move on and buy from some1 else.

Thanks
Ben

Is it possible for you to explain the H4H concept to me??

I am changing just looked at the prices and the differance is big when you are talking about the margins that we do, well it's all a learning curve for me.

And if Hurleys do a site find for me, does that mean i am tied into them?

If you want to be independant and in full control of your own company then don't sign ANY contract with ANY supplier. You can get the same service with any supplier without a contract. If you sign it , you are tied and a supplier will do ANYTHING to make sure you stick to your side of it. If you don't, well......you've already read the consequences on here. Don't bring that trouble on yourself , use your time to grow your business , not wondering how you got yourself into such a one sided position.

hi,
If you type in 'help for heroes sites' on this fourm there is a great pice from another operator called (Rossi fan). That will explain everything to you.

As for being tied to them if there site finding for you im not to sure about that to be honest but as i see it, you pay them for the site its your to do as you please, I know tubz vending say its there site for ever. but i know what i would do!!!

Mayb some one else can help you with this.
Thanks
Ben

Thanks for the advice chaps.

Noel, i havn't signed it, just they sent it, as when i querried (wrong spelling) it they said i had to as i had been using thier site finding service, and that they had sent me some stickers as 'goodwill' in return for me signing the document, which is where the alarm bells start to go, nobody gets anything for free in this world.

Kind Regards
Chris

I wouldnt sign anything but one thing I would do is ask about their price matching :D . tubz vending have good and bad points as most companies do, if they got you your first few sites then I would stick them but always remembering you have more options available if need be. ;)
