Ade,

I would agree, but if that was the case would they not be asking for it monthly from operators?

It's probs a combinations of lots of thigs, cash flow, wanting to know peoples sites, wanting to know about what they are selling & trying to catch out the self fillers.

And Noel, i knew they were scammers in Mongolia, but you've deff put me off with Momgolio, them momgolians are nothing but lying, cheating, over charging, dirty trick playing, horrible tw*ts

i agree its probably a combination of things, but if every operator sent their money monthly that`s some serious dough to play with

Good day to everyone.
Im glad to report that Hurleys have now agreed and signed a Commercial Participator Agreement with Help For Heroes. Going forward, the administration of the payments to H4H does have to alter.

We will shortly post a letter from Help for Heroes that we hope goes someway to explaining why H4H organise it the way that they do and confirms our Commercial Participator Agreement that we have already signed with them.

Hurleys have a separate bank account set up to administer the payments for H4H. Its the one that we use to administer the charity payments we make to the NSPCC/ ISPCC/ Childline for our honesty boxes.
We have agreed with H4H that we will collect the payments from our customers over the period of a quarter and then send the monies on at the end of the quarter with the VAT that has to be paid, applied to the total paid in that quarter.
Hurleys will be paying the entire VAT element as its only a cash flow issue. Hurleys promises to keep the payments in the separate bank account as they need to for auditing purposes with the Charity Commission if the need ever arises.
What we need our customers/ other vendors to do is to send the money into the separate account that they have collected for H4H donation. We will then need a list of where the money has come from.

We WILL NOT ask for the names, addresses or any other information relating to the site the monies have come from. We will not gather a list of anyone’s sites through the donations you give to H4H. All we have to ask is that you assign a code to a site, e.g. H4H001, and send the list of site codes with the donation from that site to us by email when you make the donation. This has been agreed with Help For Heroes as a more than adequate amount of information for any audit.
If you prefer to send the information by post then that is fine but it is very important that there is a list to back up the donation.
Also, we have extended the hand of friendship to Sweetfix and after a discussion with Jonny have agreed that any Sweetfix customers can donate their charity payments for H4H via Hurleys. Even if the Sweetfix customers are using no Hurleys at all, they can still keep their H4H sites which will be officially endorsed by H4H. This means that H4H still get all the donations they were receiving previously.

If anyone upon reading this post wishes to start donating to Help For Heroes, Hurleys can find sites for you as long as you are stocking our product in those sites.

If anyone has any queries about the system, how it works, accountability etc, please feel free to call Alana Warwick at Help for Heroes on 01725 514118 and she will gladly answer any questions that you have and confirm any information you wish to check on.

I hope that this puts minds at rest regarding the situation going forward with Help For Heroes and helps keep everyone on board and supporting H4H in the future.

If you have any questions or queries, please respond openly or privately on the forum or call 02920 889979.
Many thanks
Paul and Rob

P.S Regarding any interest made on the account, Hurleys promise to pay this to Help For Heroes as well. It may not be a fortune, but its not for us to make money on H4Hs money sitting with us instead of them.
Paul.

Excellent well done Hurleys for clarifying that and offering the service to Sweetfix customers.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for clarifying the position. I think this is sensible. Does it mean that H4H will actually get more money, or less when the Vat is applied.

My only concern is that some sites frequently ask me for details of my H4H donations and some even look at my B My Charity page.

Thanks,

Paul

The VAT is just an exercise for the HMRC. We pay it to them, we claim it back, they pay it to the government and then claim it back!
Nonsense really.

Thanks Paul,

Is it possible for either H4H or Hurleys to provide us with an explanatory letter to show sites.

Cheers,

Paul
