Bitesize Vending
Has anyone heard of Bitesize Vending? Based in Dorset and run by someone called Paul Cooper.
I came across them on one of those franchise websites and due to being a nosy sod, thought I would ask for more info. Got a couple of calls from a sales woman, who was very vague and didn't have any information on stock or machine type (of course I didn't mention I was already in vending).
Just got a letter confirming a sales meeting (in Birmingham), and a projection of income and profit. This 'profit potential' must be the greatest work of fiction since lord of the rings!
Apparently 40 of these 'dispensers' will bring in a net profit of £20,246.40 in the first year. That's after taking off £130 per month for petrol insurance and telephone. But the best bit is you pay £2 per machine per month as a 'management fee' to Mr Cooper, so no matter how long you have the machine, or how little the site makes, it still costs £24 a year for the 'rights' to each site!!!
ALL THIS CAN BE YOURS FOR AN INITIAL OUTLAY OF ONLY £10,000!!!
Any takers?

No mention of the type of machine used, as far as I can see. Did this info come with the letter.
Cheers,
Paul

Re: Bitesize Vending
They didn't give me any info regarding machines, they only said that they work with masterfoods. Their profit projections looked crazy though (200% profit margin!!), and 40 machines is supposed to make £20,246 a year! But that's even after the £2 per month, per site commission to the franchise company.
The whole thing looked really dodgy though, there is no trace of any customers online, and the sales woman that replied to my e mail said she didn't know exactly what the product or machines were. When I got the letter, I checked the address on google earth and it's just a large house on a suburban street (looks expensive, so someone's doing well).
I tried putting a copy of the letter and info on here but can't work out how to do it!
I would be quite willing to buy a franchise from an indipendent firm, but this just looked dodgy!!
If anyone want's to have a look through the stuff they sent, m me and i'll email it

I will sell you a fresh canned air franchise, will do really well only £28,000 for 100 carboard boxes full, you can even pot your own.
Iprojected profits of millions

Re: Bitesize Vending
I'll buy one !
It doesn't sound good when you are trying to get 20k from someone for a new business but won't tell them what it is until they come to a what I would presume is a high pressure sales pitch. Especially when the company has a net worth of -£51,000

Re: Bitesize Vending
I enquired about this mob last year, stay away. I grilled them about the concept and he hung the phone on me. I told him there is no way you can make that money from beaver machines which is their business. Even though I operate beavers, I know you would not make the kind of money they were talking about consistently. I asked him can I go out with one of their franchisees and that' was the end of that.
Beware!!!

Re: Bitesize Vending
I didn't even get to find out what machines they were! I first looked at beaver machines when I started, but then quickly dismissed them as almost obsolete technology, that would only work in very niche locations.
Glad I didn't waste my time going all the way to Birmingham!
